Sports Centre is a first class venue capable of hosting major sporting
and non-sporting events. In fact, Inverness Sports Centre has
something for everyone. The superb indoor facilities not only provide
space for competition and exercise, they also provide numerous
opportunities for you to relax and enjoy yourself.
The facilities includeMain Sports
Hall
(32m x 42m):
This is a vast multi-purpose sports hall with retractable seating for
up to 660 spectators.The hall is equipped for numerous sports
including archery, badminton, basketball

5-a-side football,
trampolining and volleyball. Safety curtains enable up to four
different activities to run simultaneously
Secondary
Sports Hall (20m x 20m):
A versatile activity area
which can accommodate everything from aerobics and children's parties
to a variety of martial arts. being self-contained, the area offers an
opportunity for more personalised coaching and tuition.
Projectile Hall (30m x 5m):
Designed for cricket, golf and archery, this practice area now also
accommodates table tennis and pool tables. Besides hosting these
relaxing leisure activities, the hall can also be used as a wet
weather training area, and as a private training are for smaller
groups.
Fitness Room:
A hi-tiech fitness room suitable for the complete beginner or the
Olympic athlete. Boasting the latest weight-resistance and cardio-vascular
equipment, the spacious 22-station fitness room is available for use
throughout the day.
Please note, however, that all new users are required to attend a one
hour induction course prior to using this facility. These courses are
a safety requirement and they give you a basic introduction to the
correct use of the equipment. The course can be booked in advance at
reception.

Social
Lounge (8m max x 46m):
This is a pleasant and relaxing venue for meetings, lectures, seminars
or exhibitions. Some audio-visual aids are available and a catering
service can be provided for informal or formal functions. The
extensive floor area is complemented by views over both the main hall
and the Queens Park Athletics Stadium.

Kids Club:
For youngsters we offer specialised coaching in a wide variety of sports
ranging from junior athletics to short tennis. A different club now runs
every weekday evening and classes are available most lunchtimes for the
pre-school age group. All these activities are bookable in advance.
Children's Parties:
Get any party off to a flying start with a 45 minute session of the
activity of you choice. The if you choose, you can follow the sporting
fun with a well-earned birthday tea in the cafe. We do all the hard work
and you enjoy an easy day.
Club Scene:
Club time is allocated throughout the week, with formal tuition
offered in many different sport. Various classes cater for everyone from
the most casual of participants to the most professional of competitors.
New faces are always welcome. Details of all the clubs and classes can
be found at reception.
Special Needs:
A sloped entrance and ramps throughout the Centre ensure access for
wheelchair users. We also have disabled toilet facilities and designated
car parking spaces at the front of the car park.
